Emirates has confirmed it’ll send its newly upgraded Boeing 777 to Riyadh on every flight by the latter stages of 2025.

The Dubai-based carrier first sent its retrofitted Boeing 777 to Riyadh in October 2024, making Riyadh the first regional city to welcome the newly enhanced aircraft type.

Now, Emirates has confirmed that it’ll begin deploying the retrofitted 777 to Riyadh across the second and third daily flights between its home of Dubai and the Saudi Arabian-based city.

The changes will occur on 30 March and 7 May, respectively. By the second week of May, the airline will serve Riyadh with the newly configured jet multiple times daily to offer customers the best possible experience.

Onboard the 777 with Emirates, customers can enjoy the latest-generation business class seat and what has already become its highly applauded Premium Economy cabin, which was introduced in recent years.

These changes to the airline’s onboard cabin product have allowed it to remain competitive in an unforgiving industry, especially in the Middle East, where much emphasis continues to be placed on ensuring the highest standard of onboard service.

The newly configured planes have a Premium Economy layout set as 2-4-2 across the cabin. Meanwhile, the business class cabin features a 1-2-1 configuration offering direct aisle access, improved privacy, and space efficiency for customers.

The Emirates Flight Details

Emirates has confirmed the newly reconfigured 777 will be deployed across EK815/816 from 30 March 2025.

Meanwhile, EK817/818 will welcome the refurbished 777 from 7 May 2025. However, Emirates confirms this will start with six flights per week. After several months, beginning on 11 August 2025, the aircraft will be deployed daily.

The Dubai-based carrier says it has listened intently to customer feedback following the first retrofitted Boeing 777 deployment to Riyadh in October 2024, pushing the airline to evolve its presence in this location.

Saudi Arabia remains a pivotal part of the Emirates network. With 72 weekly flights offered to four gateways in the country and a mix of Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s, there’s an adequate balance of capacity.
