HEATHROW, LONDON, UK - April 20: Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 (9V-SKH) taking off on April 20, 2018 at London Heathrow Airport, London, UK.

Singapore Airlines is planning for the Northern Winter 2026/27 season, even before the commencement of the Northern 2026 Summer, and as such is making changes to its route network.

Flagged in a recent schedule update, the airline is making significant changes in response to shifts in demand better to utilise available assets and capacity across the network.

Fresh changes see the airline, effective 25 October 2026, maintain the A350-900 on its daily SQ722/721 service for a week; however, the 777-300ER will be deployed in February 2027.

On service to Dubai, effective 25 October 2026, the airline plans to maintain daily A380 service. This is a carryover from the Northern Summer 2026 schedule and replaces the 777, which was intended to be replaced by the A380.

Paris Charles de Gaulle service will be effective on 7 February 2026, reducing from 11 flights a week to 10, with a mix of the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER to be utilised.

Additionally, Beijing Daxing flights will be suspended between 29 December 2026 and 25 January 2027. The airline currently serves this market daily but will cease service for the month-long period.

Shanghai Pu Dong will see SQ836/825 service replaced from the 787-10 to the 777-300ER from 1 January 2027.

Singapore Airlines Previously A380 Change

Recent route changes, flagged by aeroroutes.com, follow the airline’s earlier schedule adjustments.

In the announcement, the airline stated that from 29 March 2026, it would begin A380-800 service to Dubai International, replacing its 777-300ER fleet. At that point, it was expected to be just across the peak summer season.

Other changes included the airline improving connectivity to Dhaka from July 1, with more flights per week and aircraft swaps, to maximise capacity with the A350-900 and 737 MAX 8.

Singapore Airlines also intends to respond to shifting demand by operating the A380-800 to India, after which the 777-300ER will replace it for a temporary period.

For an airline like the Changi-based one, network optimisation must be conducted monthly to utilise available assets effectively, allocate capacity where required, and plan to maximise the potential for a successful season.
