Air Premia is gearing up for an important 2025 filled with great fleet and route network expansion.

The leading South Korean carrier believes these pillars will form a crucial part of the business as it looks to develop a balanced yet profitable route portfolio.

Air Premia states that by enhancing these elements of the business, it should be able to have a greater customer satisfaction rating by offering them enhanced convenience. All the while, this should translate into profitable endeavours.

Across 2025, the airline stated that it expects to add three more Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which will also facilitate the launch of new routes. By the end of 2025, the expectation is that the fleet will reach nine units.

Talk of expansion follows the airline taking delivery of its newest Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the sixth in the airline’s fleet, with celebrations occurring upon delivery.

This Boeing 787-9 is expected to enter commercial operations sometime in January 2025 with strict deployment to the Americas. The carrier says the plane is undergoing inspection and interior upgrades, which are crucial to prepping the aircraft for service.

Talk of Air Premia continuing to add Boeing 787s to its fleet is not necessarily fresh news. The South Korean carrier previously announced its plan to grow considerably in 2025 by adding more units from the popular widebody program.

Using Incheon as a hub and being Korea’s sole hybrid service carrier (HSC) this is a company that focuses on delivering a premium service offering but also making sure that its tickets are price at a competitive rate.

Finding this balance at times can certainly be challenging for the airline. However, it remains committed to being there for its people with a healthy business model that hopefully will see it stick around for a considerable period.

Adding new Dreamliners, which will be acquired on a lease, will ease pressures on its existing units and result in new markets being within reach or some of its most popular services increasing weekly.

That network now includes key markets across North America, such as a newly launched San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

Looking ahead into 2025 there’ll be launches across Asia, however, Honolulu and Seattle are also slated to arrive in the following year thanks to again the acquisition of new planes.
