Inside Air India’s A350 Operations

The Airbus A350 slated for delivery later this year comes sporting the newly revealed Air India livery that was part of a major rebrand.

This is the first of 40 Airbus A350s slated for delivery over the next decade, including the A350-900 and A350-1000.

However, the Airbus A350 makes up only a tiny part of the overall fleet renewal plans at the flag carrier.

Air India’s Massive Future Fleet

Air India confirmed an order months back for 470 aircraft, with options in the hundreds.

This significant commitment to aircraft consisted of not just widebodies such as the A350, 787 and the upcoming 777X but narrowbodies too. Air India ordered 737 MAXs alongside A320neo and A321neos.

Air India hopes to put its past behind it through the arrival of the Airbus A350, alongside new branding and interiors.

This past includes a poor financial state and customer satisfaction levels that have dropped significantly.
