Air France Announces Expansion

Air France has announced it'll be resuming and launching new flights in time for the Summer 2024 season to North America and Europe with a focus on medium and long haul operations

Air France is beefing up its Summer 2024 schedule by announcing several new services and frequency increases, among other changes, to boost its operations.

Air Frances Focus On Medium Haul Flights

Next summer, Air France has highlighted that it’ll launch service to three new locations from its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

From April 2, 2024, Air France will add service towards Verona in Italy with its Embraer E190. Flights will be offered thrice weekly, with departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Meanwhile, Narvik, identified as a gateway to the Lofoten Islands in Noway, will see one flight a week from June 15 to August 31, 2024. This flight is expected to depart every Saturday and be operated by the A319.

Lastly, the airline says it’ll add service to Kalamata in Greece with also 1 weekly flight to be operated by the Airbus A319. The carrier notes that the service will also depart every Saturday.

While new services will launch, the carrier says flights to Tromso in Norway, previously only available during the winter, will also be extended towards the summer season. 2 weekly flights will be offered from Paris.

Long-Haul Flights Get Some Love

Air France will also focus on long-haul flights for the upcoming summer season with a couple of adjustments to its schedule.

From May 13, 2024, the carrier says it’ll resume flights to Minneapolis, operated in the Summer of 2023 via key partner Delta. The 787-9 with Air France will operate this service daily.

Meanwhile, a Paris-Charles de Gaulle connection to Raleigh Durham in North Carolina will be extended towards summer 2024 after a debut during the 2023 winter season. 7 flights per week will be offered with the Airbus A350, representing an increase from the 2023-24 schedule.

Continuing with an extension of service flights towards Abu Dhabi, which was introduced only recently, will also extend to the summer season. The Airbus A350 will operate a daily connection between Paris and the United Arab Emirates.
