Emirates will debut its new Airbus A350-900 on the Dubai-Milan Malpensa route from 1 September 2026.

For the European network, this represents yet another shift, replacing the Boeing 777-200LR on a one daily rotation, and also reinforces Milan’s role as an important gateway worthy of welcoming the aircraft so soon.

Flagged by aeroroutes.com, the Dubai-based carrier is continuing to significantly ramp up its A350 network with more deliveries scheduled across the short to medium term as its role increases tenfold.

New Emirates A350 Flight Details

From 1 September, the Airbus A350-900 will be deployed on EK101 from Dubai to Milan, departing the airline’s hub at 0420 and arriving at 0820.

EK102 is the return flight, departing at 1025 and arriving back at the airline’s home at 1920. These flights are scheduled to operate daily, and the swap is relatively similar in terms of seat capacity.

The Boeing 777-200LR, which served the route, was configured to seat 312 passengers; the A350-900, which is replacing the flight, is similarly configured for 312 passengers.

Ultimately, the shift brings a much more fuel-efficient aircraft for Emirates to improve its own operations between the two locations; however, for passengers, it brings a quieter widebody with new state-of-the-art cabins.

Emirates To Operate A Mixed Widebody Operation

With Emirates deploying its Airbus A350-900 on service as EK101/102, the airline will continue to offer a mixed widebody operation, with a second daily nonstop service operated by the Airbus A380.

This flight, designated EK91, departs Dubai at 1515 and arrives in Milan at 1910. The return leg, EK92, departs Milan at 2120 and arrives back in Dubai the following morning at 0630, all times local to their respective cities.

With the A380 and A350 serving this market nonstop daily, which makes up two flights, it is also complemented by the airline maintaining its separate daily Dubai-Milan-New York JFK tag flight, also with the A380; triply daily widebody coverage is therefore offered.
