Volaris Orders 25 Airbus A321neos

Volaris has been identified as the customer for 25 Airbus A321neos following a purchase agreement signed in October of 2022.

The deal only adds to the continued backlog of aircraft Volaris has at Airbus, which now sits at 143 total units spread across narrowbody aircraft.

These A321neos will support our long-term business viability and sustainability strategy, while moving us closer to operating an all-NEO fleet by 2028. Our 143 aircraft backlog demonstrates Volaris financial strength and will guarantee our growth in the Mexican market as well as in routes to the United States and Central America.

Enrique Beltranena, Volaris President and Chief Executive Officer.

Airbus says that the A321neo with Volaris oozes superior performance and efficiency and should drive the company’s future. Volaris will specifically target network growth with these new units as they position themselves as best as possible to meet the demand in the Mexican leisure market.
