Viva Aerobus Signs For 90 Airbus A321neos

Viva Aerobus, an important and popular low-cost alternative in the Mexican aviation sector, has announced a significant MoU with Airbus for 90 of their A321neo aircraft.

The deal comes just weeks following the 2023 Paris Airshow, a typically busy period to announce such deals.

What a commitment for the A321neo does for the company is increase their total backlog of jets with Airbus and the broader A320 family to 170 units.

This is all part of a major expansion planned. These new orders frequently come as the company adds new types to renew and grow its fleet.

Viva Aerobus is betting on these planes with additional capacity over the base 320 models to improve on-time performance, efficiency, and more.

Airbus’ firm grip on the Mexican sector continues. The manufacturer says that since 1994 it has secured a staggering 75% of the net orders for the region and, as such, has established strong relationships with companies in the sector.
