United Airlines has announced plans to offer more flights to Florida than ever before this upcoming winter season.
Florida To See Big Amounts Of Growth
The U.S.-based carrier is slated to grow its schedule by almost 20% this winter. This will be achieved thanks to more flights to key markets such as Miami, Tampa and Orlando.
United Airlines says it’ll achieve capacity growth thanks to larger planes being deployed in these markets, as mentioned above.
Chicago O’Hare, Washington Dulles, Houston and Newark will all see several increases in flying to meet growing demand.
United adds that these airports will also see company history as mainline aircraft will fly towards Florida. As a result, the number of seats is slated to double.
Their booking and search data show that Miami and Orlando for United Airlines are among the top five most-searched domestic travel destinations.
As a result of the booming demand, United Airlines believes that increasing services will serve its customers better.
The Specifics Around United’s Florida Expansion
United Airlines says that from November 28, it’ll deploy a 737-700 towards Key West International Airport. Nonstop routes include Newark, Washington Dulles, Houston and Chicago O’Hare.
Meanwhile, Northeastern Ohioans will have better access to Florida than ever before, thanks to service out of Cleveland Hopkins.
Clevland will see a frequency increase of one daily flight towards Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Orlando to two daily.
The airline will also reintroduce daily nonstop service to Tampa, utilising their ever-reliable and popular 737-900ER.
The Airbus A321neos Importance
Since taking delivery of its first Airbus A321neo a matter of weeks ago, United Airlines has announced that it’ll be deployed towards key routes in Florida.
Specifically, beginning in December, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Fort Myers will all welcome the Airbus A321neo.
United already sees the importance of the A321neo for future operations and has announced plans to acquire 60 additional units from 2028 onwards.
Ski Destinations Also Slated To Feature
Away from the warm weather getaway for Florida United, AIrlines as it plans on increasing its presence at crucial ski destinations.
The airline already serves 11 ski stations from hubs across the country. However, it wants to build upon this significantly.
More nonstop flights, therefore, will be added from Newark/New York to Jackson Hole, WY; Eagle/Vail, CO; Hayden/Steamboat, CO; Montrose/Telluride, CO; and Bozeman/Big Sky, MT in addition to more flights to Steamboat and Montrose/Telluride.
