Thai Airways will expand its international route network from December 1 by adding a Bangkok to Istanbul service.

The route was announced at a launch ceremony attended by the Thai Chairman of the Plan Administrations. In attendance was also the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Thailand.

Istanbul Added To the Network

TG900 will depart Bangkok at 2345 and arrive in Istanbul at 0605 the following day. All times are local to their respective city.

After spending most of the day on the ground in Istanbul, the return flight TG901 will depart Istanbul at 1630. This before arriving in Bangkok at 0535 the following day.

The service is set to fly between Bangkok and Istanbul daily and commence on December 1.

Thai Airways says the route will allow customers to be immersed in Istanbul’s rich cultural and historical treasures.

Additionally, the city will act as a critical intercontinental travel hub that links Asia, Africa and European cities through the Star Alliance network.

Per Cirium, their Airbus A350-900 will be deployed on the daily flight.

Many New Benefits For Thai Airways

Executives at the airline say that the Bangkok to Istanbul route will also enhance cargo capabilities in the Asia Pacific and Australia regions.

Meanwhile, overall, the strengthening of economic, transportation, trade and investment ties between Thailand and Turkey will be visible.

However, Thai Airways doesn’t limit itself just to Turkey with the belief that Eastern European nations will feel closer than ever when the route debuts.
