STARLUX is following through with its promise of expansion towards the United States, confirming the launch of flights to Arizona.
Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport is acquiring the services of STARLUX, which will represent the first nonstop air service to Asia for the people of Phoenix and Arizona.
The confirmation of the expected service, shared during the annual State of City Address, is still subject to final regulatory approval and firm scheduling but would begin in early 2026.
Furthermore, STARLUX would look to offer three to four flights every week, which reflects the strong demand expected and the importance for all parties involved.
Phoenix and broader Arizona have reported substantial business between the city/state and Taipei, so adding STARLUX is the best option.
STARLUX will utilise its Airbus A350, which is key to the airline’s international network. The luxury carrier is considered to have one of the youngest fleets in the aviation industry.

Leveraging an all-Airbus operation has allowed it to focus on utilising several aircraft types for different purposes, but the A350-900 has proven essential for North American connectivity to this point.
A Busy Period For STARLUX
The upcoming service launch between Taipei and Phoenix for STARLUX aligns with a significant focus on expansion towards the United States.
The carrier is still relatively new to the industry, but its expansion has been rather rapid. A lot of focus has been on North American markets, as this is where strong demand is being witnessed.
For example, the airline has scaled its North American operations quite quickly in the last 12 months alone. One of the airline’s announcements came in March 2024, when it confirmed it would begin service to Seattle later that same year.
Additionally, in late 2023, the airline confirmed its intent to launch San Francisco flights with its Airbus A350 fleet, along with already existing operations to cities such as Los Angeles.

The most recent service announcement arrived on February 7: Taipei and Ontario, California, will offer service. The first flight on this route segment is expected to be on June 2, 2025.
These are just some of the more recently announced destinations that STARLUX has or will commence service to, but many more are on the radar that’ll be achieved thanks to the delivery of additional next-generation units, such as flying towards New York.
