
PLAY has continued with its model of expanding quickly with the announcement of four new destinations.
PLAY has revealed Danish cities of Aarhus, Aalborg and Billund have been added to the network. Meanwhile, for Germany, Düsseldorf will be added to their route portfolio from the midway point of 2023.
PLAY believes in adding such destinations, they can capitalise on their business model of transporting people at low costs. PLAY says that expansion into these markets is necessary.
Düsseldorf begins June 8th – 3x weekly
Aalborg begins June 10th – 2x weekly
Aarhus begins June 12th – 2x weekly
Billund begins June 15th – 2x weekly

Per Cirium, PLAY currently has eight aircraft operating, 5 Airbus A320neos and 3 Airbus A321neos. AerCap and China Aircraft Leasing Company are the two lessors providing PLAY with their aircraft to fulfil operations.

The airline’s biggest market is Paris Charles De Gaulle in France, with January 2023 27 bookable flights offering 5,184 seats. While on the same amount of bookable flights, London Stansted comes in second place thanks to 4,986 seats.
We have long dreamed of reaching the large number of Icelanders living in Denmark. with these three new destinations we believe this will greatly improve our services. With these additions to the network, PLAY will have six destinations in Scandinavia next summer. two in Sweden and four in Denmark.
