Hawaiian Airlines is preparing to enter its next era of flight with the arrival of the Boeing 787. It has unveiled a new business class to go along with the aircraft.
Inspired by early Polynesian voyages, the new interior and class of premium service has been labelled the Leihōkū Suites and will debut on their 787-9.

Hawaii’s rich culture, the natural world and more will all be present through the suite’s textures, colours and patterns, which reflect key elements of Hawaii.
Hawaiian Airlines will configure their 787s with 300s seats; as such, there’ll be 34 total suits that guests can book from early-2024 on select routes.
The airline says that the business class will be a 1-2-1 configuration with doors that offer a private flying experience or an opportunity to socialise. The addition of doors has quickly found its way into most newly announced upper classes as customers look for that added privacy to immerse themselves in the cabin.

Seats will feature an 18″ monitor for in-flight entertainment; wireless charging and power outlets will be provided. The ability to charge devices wirelessly is also quickly working its way into more airline products as technology advances.
The combination of our evocative cabin design and unparalleled service will make our 787 the most relaxing and enjoyable choice for travel to and from Hawaii. We take pride in sharing our home with our guests, and the design and details of this product truly reflect what it means to be the flagship carrier of the Hawaiian Islands.
Avi Mannis, chief marketing and communications officer at Hawaiian Airlines.
While there’ll also be 266 economy seats, the airline was pleased to reveal that almost a third would have additional legroom.
