Hawaiian Airlines is readying for the arrival of its first Boeing 787 as it puts the first tickets up for sale for the Dreamliner.
Debuting next spring, the airline will deploy the Boeing 787 initially on a Hawaii to San Francisco and Los Angeles service, with active ticket sales.
The Boeing 787 is part of the airline’s plans, but the order for the aircraft has been a long-standing debacle. Initially, Hawaiian Airlines had committed to the A350-800. Before that variant was cancelled, it switched to the A330neo. However, after much deliberation, the carrier eventually switched allegiances to Boeing and their 787 Dreamliner.
Hawaiian says the flagship aircraft will debut on April 15th with a daily service to San Francisco from Honolulu. This will then be followed by select flights between Honolulu and Los Angeles, alongside Maui and Los Angeles from May 14th and May 15th, respectively.
Our 787’s uniquely Hawaiian design and comfort, paired with the award-winning hospitality of our crew, will create an unparalleled experience for our guests on their travel to the islands.
Avi Mannis, chief marketing officer at Hawaiian Airlines.
