Etihad Airways will make changes to its Abu Dhabi-Frankfurt service in the coming months as part of plans to overhaul its operations to Germany.
Per the latest schedule filings, flagged by Aeroroutes, the airline will reduce its Frankfurt operations to two daily flights operated by the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, down from just one.
The changes being made by the airline will come into effect from 1 May 2026 and are part of a strategy; the move aligns with the partnership launch with Condor, which will see one of its daily EY123/124 services replaced by a Condor A330-900.
Moving forward, EY121/122 between Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt will remain and will be complemented by DE2549/2548 operated by Condor’s Airbus A330neo.

More Etihad Airways Changes For 2026/27 Confirmed
However, that removal of the one daily flight won’t be a permanent fixture. Etihad Airways is also ramping up capacity yet again for the Northern winter 2026/27 schedule.
The changes from 256 October, 2025 will see the airline resume the second daily flight with a new mid-morning departure as flight EY119/120, however, to be operated by the flexible, new but much smaller Airbus A321LR.
What that means is during the Northern winter season for 2026/27, the Abu Dhabi-based airline, in partnership with Condor, will operate three daily flights between Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi across three aircraft types, ranging from the 787-9 to the A330neo and the single-aisle A321LR.
