Etihad Airways is slated to grow its network in 2025 by adding two new routes to support and boost tourism in Abu Dhabi.
The carrier has announced that from June 2, 2025, it’ll commence four weekly flights to Warsaw and Prague, with the direct flights arriving in time for the Summer 2025 season.
The service further aligns with Etihad Airways’ overarching commitment to increasing its service to key European markets with its aircraft.
Etihad Airways plans to use its Boeing 787 Dreamliner in the two locations in 2025. This next-gen plane is proving to be hugely reliable for long-haul flying, a type passengers love.
EY155/EY156 has been the designated flight number for flights between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Prague (PRG), with an early morning arrival set for the capital of Czechia.
Meanwhile, EY159/EY160 operating between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Warsaw (WAW) will depart just five minutes before every flight, compared to Prague. These flights are optimally timed for onward connectivity and access to the capital cities.
Prague flight schedule – all times local. From 02 June, 2025
| Flight No, | Departure airport | Arrival airport | Departure Time | Arrival Time | Frequency |
| EY155 | Abu Dhabi AUH | Prague PRG | 02:50 | 07:15 | 4x week |
| EY156 | Prague PRG | Abu Dhabi AUH | 11:20 | 19:05 | 4x week |
Warsaw flight schedule – all times local. From 03 June, 2025
| Flight No, | Departure airport | Arrival airport | Departure Time | Arrival Time | Frequency |

| EY160 | Warsaw WAW | Abu Dhabi AUH | 11:15 | 19:00 | 4x week |
Ultimately, this expansion is being made possible thanks to the steady increases witnessed for the airline’s fleet, highlighted in a recent financial report.
In the coming years, Etihad Airways is expected to see its fleet grow even further as critical aircraft continue arriving to align with Journey 2030 ambitions.
Journey 2030 was recently unveiled as an attempt by the airline to significantly overhaul itself as a business and chart a firm course for growth. It is arguably the airline’s second major expansion in recent decades.
However, Etihad Airways will need to remain wary of growing too fast, as some doubt the airline’s ability to grow steadily following attempts from early to mid-2010.
The expansion effort undertaken last decade saw Etihad Airways commit similarly to an abundance of planes, new routes, and more, only to find out by the time it was done that it had overcommitted to growth and was plunged into losses exceeding billions of dollars each year.
Now, Etihad Airways believes it’s in a more stable place, and route launches such as those to Prague and Warsaw are going to be an important pillar of the future network.
