An Easter Jet Boeing 737 MAX 8

Easter Jet, a South Korean-based carrier, has reached a landmark fleet total of 15 jets and is now charting a course for future growth.

The airline’s fleet has steadily developed over the years, and nowadays, greater reliance is placed on more modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.

As 2025 approaches, the Easter Jet fleet averages about ten years of age and solely relies on the popular 737 family of aircraft for its daily flying.

Fleet data indicates that Easter Jet has 10 Boeing 737-800s in its fleet, part of the NG series. These are an average of 12.3 years old and have been leased in the last five years or so.

However, the 737 MAX, specifically the -8 variant, is to fly the flag for more efficient operations, and five units have now been delivered.

The most recent MAX delivery was HL8599, which arrived in September 2024. It was previously destined for Ukraine International Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas before being formally deployed to Easter Jet.

Once the 15th aircraft enters service in late October after relevant inspections and approval arrive, the airline expects critical markets such as Taipei will be served.

However, looking into the future, the airline wants to increase its fleet to 20 total aircraft by 2027, a bold ambition that has followed a consistent few years of growth.

Easter Jet only saw its operations resume in 2023 with three aircraft, but since then, many more aircraft have arrived. By the end of that year, the fleet had grown to 10 aircraft and now has reached 15 thanks to various lease agreements.
