Delta is expanding its international and domestic network by introducing new routes starting in 2026.
The U.S. carrier says it’ll begin daily service to Hong Kong (HKG) from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on June 6, 2026, to further establish Los Angeles as a premier gateway to international markets.
Additionally, three daily flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will be offered starting June 7, 2026, just a day after service to Hong Kong begins. This highlights the importance of these three daily flights.
The airline’s SVP of Network Planning said that, as the largest carrier in Los Angeles globally, there’s a clear need to continue investing in routes that matter to customers while also delivering the premium travel experience that has long been expected.
As for Hong Kong, the ability to serve this market from Los Angeles enables travellers from the global city to unlock more than 30 one-stop connections.
Meanwhile, Delta is also aware that serving Hong Kong will enhance its joint venture with Korean Air, established to offer streamlined connectivity across Asia.

Regarding enhancing service domestically towards Chicago, this new route will connect two of the cities that Delta describes as among the most influential in the country for commerce, culture and travel.
For those travelling from the Midwest, while Delta will provide greater access to the West Coast, it’ll also enable more seamless travel opportunities across the trans-Pacific network thanks to Los Angeles.
More Details From Delta
Delta confirms that flights operating daily between Los Angeles and Hong Kong will feature the flagship Airbus A350-900, equipped with the four-product experience.
The U.S carrier will therefore offer One, Premium Select, Comfort and Main, giving customers ample opportunities to book different classes depending on their requirements.

For the airlines’ newly announced domestic service, thrice-daily flights to Chicago O’Hare will be operated by the Boeing 737-800, which offers three classes: First, Comfort, and Main.
Alongside this, passengers will be able to access all the complimentary in-flight entertainment options, featuring over a thousand hours of content to browse.
