After over a month without being able to deliver the 787, Boeing has once more gained approval per Reuters to deliver the widebody again.
The aircraft had previously been grounded as it became apparent that the planemaker had errors revolving around the forward pressure bulkhead. However, this was not the first time the 787 had deliveries suspended. Unfortunately, the news made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
At the time, no timeframe had been given regarding the recommencement of deliveries. However, the general expectation was that it wouldn’t be long.
Customers became more frustrated with the delivery delays so Boeing couldn’t afford this saga. So getting the approval was the perfect thing Boeing could’ve asked for, and we will now look towards resuming deliveries next week to customers.
