Aer Lingus will launch flights to Las Vegas, which can now be booked on the airline’s website.
The service launch to Las Vegas has been a long time in the making. The Irish company has long expressed interest in flying to the market. However, plans have seemingly come undone time and again for reasons beyond the company’s control.
Now, the airline will deploy one of its Airbus A330s from Dublin to Las Vegas thrice weekly. Service commencement is scheduled for October 25, 2024.
Thanks to Aer Lingus’ booking systems, flights will be operated as EI51/50, departing Dublin at 1520 and arriving in Las Vegas at 1750. The returning flight will depart Vegas at 1935 and arrive back in Dublin at 1310 the following day. All times are local.
Aer Lingus already has an extensive network across the United States, and flights from Dublin to Las Vegas are considered the company’s next natural step.
Moreover, when considering destinations such as Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SF), New York (JFK), Newark (EWR) and Chicago (ORD) are all included, plus more, Vegas is a fine addition.
In the last 18 months, major events have increased considerably in Las Vegas. As a result, the location, despite its geographical positioning, has become an even bigger holiday and tourism spot. Aer Lingus will be betting on this continuing with its service connecting Ireland to the city.
Steve Hill, the President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, celebrated Aer Lingus’ welcoming for the first time. Hill highlighted more than 52,000 visitors who came from Ireland in 2023 alone. Thanks to enhanced customer connectivity opportunities, the new service is believed to increase these numbers.
Those wishing to book the service flight start at €499 return with taxes and charges included. The airline highlights high-speed Wi-Fi aboard the aircraft with an expensive in-flight entertainment system.
