Avolon, a leading aircraft lessor, has announced a commitment with Boeing at the 2023 Paris Airshow for 40 737 MAX aircraft.
The additional order reaffirms the lessor’s position as a leading one in the aviation industry and extends a long-standing partnership that stretches past the 737 MAX series.
Customers across the Avolon network will now access these 737 MAXs once delivered, with their respective destinations to be revealed in due course.
This order demonstrates the popularity of the 737-8 among the leasing community and the demand they are seeing from their customers for this airplane model. Avolon has a long-standing relationship with the 737 MAX program and took delivery of the 1,000th 737 MAX last year. We look forward to building on this strong relationship with a key leasing partner as they grow their Boeing portfolio of airplanes.
Stan Deal, president and CEO, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Avolon remains confident that there is a long-term demand from their customers for the 737 MAX and, as such, has announced the deal formally during the 2023 Paris Airshow, where the eyes of the world are closely watching the industry.
The 737 MAX has enjoyed a resurgence in demand and interest following its multi-year grounding spanning from 2018 and 2019s tragic events involving ET302 and JT610.
