Wizz Air has announced a substantial expansion, revealing many new routes as part of its continued growing efforts.

Katowice Route Expansion

The significant budget European carrier will commence operating from December 13 towards Aqaba in Jordan, with service originating in Katowice twice weekly.

Katowice will also see increases in flying with Brussels Charleroi beginning one day later on December 14. The plan is for flights to operate twice weekly.

A commitment to Katowice is high, with routes over 30 and multiple aircraft being out of the airport.

Glasgow Route Expansion

While Glasgow will see a further increase in flying with Wizz Air, the airline will launch flights to Budapest and Bucharest. These previously depart from Edinburgh but will make the switch.

Wizz Air’s return to Glasgow is fantastic news, offering two sensational destinations in Central and Eastern Europe. From this winter, Scottish travellers can jet away to Budapest and Bucharest, both flown twice weekly.

Notably, the services will depart in the same week from Glasgow in November, with two weekly flights to the destinations.

Thanks to the addition of these routes, Glasgow will see four flights per week now with Wizz Air, thus an increase in presence.

Wizz Air Airbus A321neos In Italy

Notably, its Airbus A321neo pressure is set to grow in Italy, with four more aircraft being based in Rome, Fiumincio and Milan.

Wizz Air currently operates a fleet of 36 Airbus A321neos. However, the presence of this popular narrowbody is only slated to grow with orders amounting to hundreds of units.
