Vistara has announced plans to launch service to Hong Kong from Delhi with its Airbus A321neo.
The Indian carrier has revealed that the flight is slated to begin on 29 October 2023, with the A321neo being selected thanks to its three-class configuration and highlighting the enhanced capabilities of the series.
We are delighted to add Hong Kong to our fast-growing global network. Hong Kong is one of the world’s most premier financial and commercial hubs that continues to draw significant corporate traffic from India. It has also been a very popular destination for Indian tourists. With the addition of Hong Kong, we are now able to offer our customers direct connectivity to and from three of the world’s top financial centres, the others being London and Singapore.
Mr. Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer, Vistara.
The Delhi to Hong Kong service is slated to operate daily, with UK0101 departing Delhi at 2105 before arriving in Hong Kong at 0555. It’ll spend three hours in Hong Kong before leaving on the return leg as UK0102 at 0855 and touching back down in Delhi at 1310. These times are local to their respective location.
Hong Kong will be hugely important for the carrier as it looks to increase its presence at some of the world’s premier financial and commercial hubs.
Vistara currently has a fleet of 10 Airbus A320neos that work alongside its large fleet of A320neos too. The A321neos have an average age of some 1.4 years, therefore making them the youngest fleet type when measured by average age in the network.
