
Southwest has announced that it is extending its flight schedule with new international services to grow its network.
Orlando Gets International Expansion
Central Florida requires a network expansion per Southwest, and to be able to achieve this, it’ll target several new nonstop routes to international destinations from Orlando.
Southwest says it’ll launch services to the following new routes.
- Cancun, Mexico
- Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
- Nassau, Bahamas
- Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
- San José, Costa Rica
Additionally, these newly announced routes, which will begin daily on June 4, 2024, will complement existing Aruba and Montego Bay operations.
Dallas And Nashville Seasonal Services
Effective June 4, 2024, the East Coast will also see daily nonstop services between new route pairings.
Colarado Springs and Baltimore will launch, providing access to the Northeast and Colarado Springs.
However, further route announcements with Dallas and Nashville are slated to launch with Saturday-only services between the following.
- Dallas (Love Field) and Buffalo/Niagara, N.Y.
- Dallas (Love Field) and Fresno, Calif.
- Dallas (Love Field) and Providence, R.I.
- Dallas (Love Field) and Spokane, Wash.
All Part Of A Wider Returning And New Schedule
While these announcements are important, the carrier has many more returning services and seasonal markets.
All this is part of the commitment outlined by Southwest to expansion, returning to markets and offering customers more flexibility when it comes to travel.
Thanks to all the changes, the upcoming summer 2024 season is slated to be incredibly busy, and the 737 series will power the services.
