Singapore Airlines is making changes to its planned Northern Summer 2026 schedule, including aircraft such as the A350, 787, and 737 MAX.

Flagged in a recent schedule update and published by aeroroutes.com, the Changi-based airline is backtracking on previous expansion efforts on service between Singapore and Dhaka.

Under the previous schedule, the airline had planned to ramp up service from 7 flights a week to 10 from 31 March 2026 through 30 June 2026. From 1 July 2026, service would be offered 14 times a week, or double daily.

However, now under the recent flight reservations, the airline is expected to continue offering just 7 flights a week, or daily service between its home and Dhaka with the Boeing 787, at least temporarily.

The flights will be offered across SQ446 departing Singapore at 2040 with a 2240 arrival into Dhaka. The return leg departs Dhaka at 2355 as SQ447, with a next-day arrival at 0600 into Singapore.

However, in schedule filings published before the turn of the new year, the airline intended to leverage the A350-900 across service before jumping up to the 737 MAX 8 daily.

The airline is optimising these services, especially for those arriving from Dhaka, to enable onward connectivity across a host of routes in the airline’s network, whether short-haul, via partners, or towards international destinations where Dhaka has limited connectivity.

Singapore Airlines To Eventually Increase Flights

While the planned service increases across the peak Northern Summer 2026 schedule will not go ahead, that doesn’t mean an increase won’t eventually happen.

From 11 August 2026, according to recent schedule filings, Singapore Airlines will ramp up service between Changi and Dhaka, offering 14 weekly flights through 24 October 2026, covering the latter stages of the Northern summer schedule.

The additional seven weekly flights will be operated by the airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 and will complement the 787 Dreamliner, which is already featured on the service.
