SAS Announces Massive Expansion

SAS has announced a major expansion of flying towards Europe for the Summer 2024 schedule as the airline sees strong demand levels and attempts to be ready to meet this.

SAS has announced a massive expansion of its service for the Summer 2024 schedule with a mission to fly to over 130 destinations across more than 40 countries.

Customer favourite destinations such as those warm-weather locations in Spain and broader Europe will continue to feature. However, new flights will be launched to several more locations too.

This massive focus shift to expansion comes as demand continues to rise for travel, and SAS forecasts a summer season that will come with solid levels of demand.

South European Flights

SAS says that South European destinations will get love during the Summer 2024 season with plans to add flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen towards Malaga with 20 weekly flights.

Meanwhile, Oslo will see up to 17 weekly flights to Alicante as part of a focus on operating towards summer favourite locations.

Italy will also see a boost in flying with SAS, noting Milan will have four flights per day from Copenhagen and daily flights to Florence. Nice will lastly see 25 weekly flights.

A commitment to Paris continues with SAS offer twice daily service to the French capital from Stockholm during the peak summer period.

Focus On North Europe

Thanks to SAS’s increased summer flying schedule, Düsseldorf will see up to five daily flights from Copenhagen alone.

Brussels and Gadansk will see four flights daily, with Warsaw and Vilnius welcoming three, all from Copenhagen.

SAS will utilise its next-generation Airbus A320neo family aircraft fleet for the Summer 2024 European schedule.

Stockholm will be next to see increases in flying to Northern European destinations with increases in flying to Helsinki, Berlin and Tallin.
