Qatar Airways has revealed it’ll expand its network in 2024, focusing on improving services towards Europe.

The expansion is also tied to offering an extensive summer schedule to more than 170 destinations globally.

Breaking Down Qatar Airways’ Route Updates

Qatar Airways says it’ll resume services towards Venice in Italy in June 2024, in time for the company’s expected busy summer season.

Service to Venice is slated to operate daily from 12 June 2024, with departure from Doha at 0900. Arrival will occur at 1420, with these flights returning to Doha at 1650 and touching down just shy of midnight at 2310.

Alongside Venice, from 1 July 2024, Qatar Airways will offer a service to Hamburg from its hub in Doha. The flight will depart at 0835 from Doha and arrive in Hamburg at 1410 before spending an hour and a half on the ground and returning to Doha at 1540. Qatar indicates that the flight will finally touchdown at 2240.

Interestingly, however, these times are for services occurring on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. This is because the timings will significantly differ for the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday services.

On these days, Qatar Airways says its Hamburg service will depart from Doha at 0215 before arriving in Germany at 0750. Departure from Hamburg will occur at 0920 before arrival back into Doha at 1620.

The newly announced Venice and Hamburg flights set to commence within one month of each other, respectively, will be daily.

Qatar Airways Continues To Grow

During the summer 2024 season, the carrier says it’ll offer customers more choices when flying to Europe. Additionally, there’ll be a host of destinations on the route map offering different cultural experiences.

Qatar forecasts that service to Venice from destinations including China, Australia, and Japan through their hub in Doha will be hugely important.

Meanwhile, it’s expected Hamburg in Germany will see a lot of traffic originating from Thailand, the Philippines and South Africa. Overall, though, these connections will complement an ever-growing network at the airline.
