New Pacific Airlines, formally Northern Pacific, has deepened its partnership with Elevate Aviation Group to reconfigure its 757 fleet.

As part of the reconfiguration, New Pacific Airlines has announced its plan to have a fleet of three aircraft configured to seat 78 passengers, all in business class.

The pair say they’ve seen significant demand for private charter travel and believe deepening their relationship will result in substantial long-term benefits. New Pacific also says that, per their latest forecasting, they anticipate demand intensifying across the summer and well into the fall.

Hospitality, MICE, and other corporate shuttles are seeing an uptick in requirements for privately configured Boeing 757 jets. As a result of New Pacific Airlines’ position in the aviation industry, they have Boeing 757s that are not doing anything better that can be configured.

Moreover, the partnership is expected to continue, as the pair notes that more aircraft will join the New Pacific Airlines fleet and, therefore, be configured.

While many markets are being targeted, Elevate highlights factors such as sports and those travelling for these as target markets, among many others.

The Curious Case Of New Pacific Airlines

New Pacific, formerly Northern Pacific, has had a relatively strong identity crisis since entering the market several years ago.

The company was expected to offer service to Asia from the U.S. and what was to be its home, Anchorage. However, these plans were put on hold due to global conflict and airspace restrictions.

Following the failure of these plans, the airline looked for more short-term solutions and launched scheduled flights from Ontario, California, to Las Vegas, Nashville, and Reno.

However, at the end of March 2024, several route cancellations formally caused the company to suspend scheduled flights. When scheduled flights were closed, Rob McKinney, the airline’s CEO, said charter flights like these with Elevate would become the company’s new focus.

Despite this strategy shift, many onlookers still question the airline’s place in the industry, its long-term viability and its overall business model.
