Fiji Airways has announced that it will enhance its network to the United States with nonstop flights between Nadi, Fiji, and Dallas Fort Worth in Texas.
The route is expected to commence on 10 December 2024. It will be the airline’s first connection between these two locations and enhance travel to the States.
The flight will be a 13-hour service, and it is expected to fly thrice weekly, with service on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with the A350-900.
This Airbus widebody has been instrumental in allowing the airline to operate in larger markets than previously expected. Fiji Airways configures this plane in a two-class configuration with 301 seats in Economy Class and 33 in Business Class.
Fiji Airways labels the route incredibly exciting. It focuses on enhancing its commitment to the United States with a new route that provides greater connectivity.
Once flights commence in early December, the destination will become the 24th on the international network and, further to that, the fifth in North America as part of a major focus on the region.
While the route remains subject to government regulator approvals in the US, Fiji Airways already flies to Los Angeles, Honolulu, Vancouver and San Francisco.
Flying specifically to Dallas will allow customers to link up with the iniaitives already announced through the airline, becoming the 15th full member of the oneworld alliance in 2025.
As part of Fiji Airways joining this alliance, it’ll enhance its relationship with existing customers and, for this route specifically, will link up with American Airlines, which utilises Dallas Fort Worth in Texas as a base.
Connectivity is highlighted with options to travel to locations not served by Fiji Airways on an American Airlines aircraft and even to Europe.
Once commenced, the Nadi-based carrier is excited about bringing more than 1,000 people to Fiji weekly to boost the nation’s tourism industry.
