Etihad Airways officially launched its new nonstop service to Nairobi, Kenya, on Sunday, December 15, 2025.
The airline says that the flight, which originates from its home in Abu Dhabi, helps create a state-of-the-art service that focuses on two vital markets between the capital of the UAE and a dynamic city in Africa.
Service will operate as EY767/768 with departure four times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Departure from Abu Dhabi is scheduled for 0905 with a 1330 arrival into Nairobi, Kenya.
The return leg, EY768, will depart at 1820 after spending close to seven hours on the ground. It will arrive in Abu Dhabi twenty minutes after midnight, at 0020.
Etihad Airways continues to focus on developing its global network as it moves towards doubling its fleet and overall cities served.
As a result, the launch of service to Nairobi is considered an essential pillar of continuing travel between the United Arab Emirates and Kenya. This is undoubtedly driven by what the Middle Eastern carrier described as a full inaugural flight.
Moreover, the launch is another critical event for Kenya’s tourism sector. The country expects to have 3 million visitors by the end of 2024.
However, Kenya is not stopping there with the hope that in the following years, these numbers will be able to increase upwards to five million per year. As such, the growth trajectory for this country is high, and Etihad Airways will play an important role in making this happen.
