Delta Boosts Shanghai Flights

Delta is expanding its flights to China for the upcoming winter season. As a result, it’ll offer ten weekly flights to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport.

The ten flights will operate from its Seattle and Detroit hubs. Specifically, three weekly flights will operate from Detroit and a daily service from Seattle beginning on the 29th of October.

Flights from Seattle will be operated with the A330-900, part of the A330neo family. The expectation is that the A350-900 will be deployed from Detroit and Los Angeles.

Plans continue for Shanghai-Pudong in the early stages of 2024. The carrier will relaunch its connection from Los Angeles which last flew in February 2020.

As demand continues to increase and the busy travel season to the Asia-Pacific region commences, the Delta team is ready to welcome even more travelers to the region this winter, providing our award-winning customer service on every journey.

However, thanks to a partnership with China Eastern Airlines, customers flying with Delta through to Shanghai will be able to connect to more destinations within China as well.
