Condor Announces North American Expansion

German carrier Condor has announced plans to expand its North American network with new flights targeted for the summer of 2024.

The airline says it’ll resume flights between Frankfurt and Calgary, an important future part of its network. However, Frankfurt will see further expansion as well.

Condor will launch a brand new service from Frankfurt towards Miami International Airport. The Miami and Calgary flights will launch on the 27th of May, in time for the summer season, when demand will surge. Miami flights will operate three times weekly, with Calgary operating twice weekly.

Condor will utilise its Airbus A330neo aircraft, an integral part of its current fleet and a type that’ll power its operations long into the future, allowing for new and existing routes to resume.

While the Miami and Calgary services have attracted the most spotlight, Condor also wants to work towards increasing flights to other North American cities, such as Halifax within Canada and Boston.

Condor will ultimately face some substantial competition, as touted by analysts. However, Condor is ready and prepared to tackle the North American market with two more routes and frequency increases.
