China Eastern Announces Massive Expansion

China Eastern Airlines has announced a sizeable flight schedule for the 2023-2024 winter and spring season.

Flights as part of the schedule saw commencement on October 29, 2023.

The Massive Schedule

As part of China Eastern’s expansion plans, the airline will operate 3,076 passenger flights daily.

Additionally, the company will increase overall seat capacity to reach 24.48 billion passengers-kilometres per month.

International and regional flights are slated to hit 1,084 per week, representing an increase.

China Eastern To Launch New Routes

From the continued resumption of services and frequency increases, China Eastern has outlined plans to launch new routes.

The company says the likes of Shanghai and Cairo, Shanghai and Vientiane, Hangzhou and Auckland. Hangzhou, Sydney, and Auckland; Wenzhou and Madrid; Jinan and Sydney; Beijing Daxing International Airport and Haneda Airport will all be connected.

Focusing on service resumption, the airline has announced Shanghai to Brisbane, Shanghai to Nagasaki, Shanghai to San Francisco, and Shanghai to Nagasaki, Yanji and Inchon, Qingdao and Inchon, Hohhot, Kunming and Yangon.

More international routes, such as Shenzhen and Bangkok, Lanzhou and Bangkok, will begin later in November.
