British Airways has announced it’ll launch a new service from London Gatwick to Agadir in Morocco.
Operated by BA Euroflyer, the airline will see a four-times-weekly service commence on March 31, 2024, and form an integral part of the short-haul network.
Service to Agadir will join Marrakech as the second city in Morocco on the British Airways network. Ultimately, it also marks a return to the location for the first time in more than a decade.
Behind The New Route Announcement
In time for the 2024 summer schedule, the airline will initially see service depart from London Gatwick on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
BA Euroflyer will serve the location thrice weekly until May 25, 2024, when a fourth weekly flight commences on Saturdays.
The service has been allocated the flight numbers BA2664 and BA2665. Interestingly, despite having multiple weekly flights, not a single service departs, arrives or returns at the same time.
For example, the Wednesday flight departs Gatwick at 0815, whereas the Friday service departs at 0645. This is also reflected in departure from Agadir on Wednesdays commencing at 1310 and Fridays at 1145.

Comments From Executives
Agadir is a coastal destination that enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, so we know it will see strong demand from our leisure customers and particularly those seeking holiday packages. It offers beaches, golf courses and water sports alongside the opportunity to experience cultural landmarks, such as Agadir Kasbah.Tom Stoddart, CEO of BA Euroflyer
UK Market Sees Significant Expansion To/From Morocco
British Airways announced service is coming to Agadir on December 12, 2023. However, ultra-low-cost carrier Ryanair would also announce a significant expansion from multiple cities within Morocco days later.
As a result, Ryanair would offer new services in 2024 to multiple cities within the United Kingdom, heating up the UK and Morocco landscape with more competition and lower fares.
