Aircalin To Resume Melbourne Flights

AIrcalin will finally resume flights between New Caledonia and Melbourne at the end of this calendar year.

The airline will operate with an Airbus A320neo on a thrice-weekly service departing from Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday as it looks to meet summer demand.

However, Aircalin departed Melbourne Airport three and a half years ago, and it has progressively returned to other cities within Australia, notably leaving a hole left unfilled in Melbourne.

The A320neos are configured with premium economy and also standard economy class. However, while passengers can board an A320neo and travel to New Caledonia, it is possible to have a ticket continue onwards to other incredible islands.

As Australia’s closest South Pacific neighbour, New Caledonia offers a plethora of activities and holiday options for Victorians and with a flight time of 3 hours and 35 minutes from Melbourne, you can even visit for a long weekend.

Aircalin only has a handful of aircraft in-service utilising the Airbus A330neo and A320neo for its operation, making it one of the youngest airlines based on average fleet age in the Pacific and Oceania region.
