Air Premia has celebrated the launch of nonstop flights between Seoul Incheon and San Francisco.

The airline celebrated the inaugural flight to San Francisco International on May 17, with several leading executives present to attend the event.

Air Premia says flights will be operated four times per week, with San Francisco becoming the third destination in the continental United States. San Francisco joins New York and Los Angeles, which have already launched and, as the carrier describes, have been successful.

The success was presented through the 229,300 plus passengers carried towards Los Angeles and New York alone last year. Per the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Information Portal, this was part of the 671,000 passengers carried across the route network.

The airline’s CEO calls America the most important strategic route on the network, which is more evident in the airline’s newest expansion.

Air Premia doesn’t want to stop at just serving three destinations. The airline believes there’s much more potential to expand its service to more cities in the United States, which will commence in due course. Air Premia says it’ll look to diversify options available for Korean immigrants and those travelling towards Korea.

Departures from Incheon International Airport are scheduled for 1730, with an arrival into San Francisco at 1230. Meanwhile, the returning flight departs at 1500, with an arrival the following day back into Seoul at 1950.

The airline is relatively new to the industry, launching only in July 2022. However, thanks to rapid expansion, it now flies to several notable gateways, such as those in the Americas and within Asia, Bangkok, and Tokyo.

Air Premia prides itself on using the modern, state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This aircraft family is the only type in its fleet, which speaks to the airline’s relationship with it.
