Royal Jordanian has announced a deal with Boeing to acquire more 787 Dreamliners at the 2023 Dubai Airshow

Breaking Down The Order

As part of a continued commitment to expanding and modernising widebody operations, Royal Jordanian believes now is the right time to order new planes.

The airline has ordered four additional Boeing 787-9s, bringing its 787-9 backlog to six units.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the backbone of the widebody fleet, and thanks to this latest commitment, it will remain so for decades to come.

Adding the 787-9s will complement the existing 787 Dreamliners in the fleet. However, the -9 will enable Royal Jordanian to carry more passengers and cargo farther than before, thanks to its enhanced capabilities.

The Royal Jordanian Fleet

The airline currently operates a fleet of 26 in-service aircraft, per the latest data from Cirium. It also has three aircraft in storage.
