Low-cost Indigo has boosted its narrowbody operation by acquiring 10 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.
The future growth for Indigo is expected to be significant. During the 2023 Paris Airshow, the airline announced the most significant commercial aircraft order in aviation history for up to 500 of the same family.
Indigo says the acquisition of 10 additional units will see deliveries completed by 2030, meaning the company fleet will grow in the hundreds.
The Indian market is quickly heating up, with carriers emerging throughout the country and existing ones growing.
Under new ownership, Air India has also ordered close to 500 aircraft as they attempt to retake market share and compete with the likes of Indigo and more on specific segments.
