Gulf Air has announced it will increase flying towards London with the upcoming launch of new flights.
Bahrain’s national carrier will launch new direct flights to London Gatwick Airport to complement its existing Heathrow service.
Commencing on March 30, 2025, Gulf Air will offer thrice weekly service on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and will unsurprisingly utilise its flagship 787 Dreamliner on service.
The 787 acts as the airline’s flagship and an important pillar to enabling high-capacity flights to international destinations. Fleet data indicate that ten 787-9s remain in service.
The flight will depart Bahrain International Airport (BAH) at 0145 and land at London Gatwick (LGW) at 0655.
Meanwhile, the return leg will depart London Gatwick at 1125 after spending several hours on the ground before returning to Bahrain the same day at 2000. All these times are local to their respective airport.

The service’s commencement on March 30 aligns with the northern summer schedule and thus arrives at a point when demand is expected to surge.
Gulf Air says the announcement of this route is a landmark moment that highlights the steps to enhance the international network.
Meanwhile, the carrier has a strong vision to strengthen links between its own Kingdom and the United Kingdom and offering Gatwick services provides fresh opportunities for customers.
