A STARLUX Airbus A321neo

STARLUX is committing to future growth by announcing plans to lease more Airbus narrowbody jets from GY Aviation Lease.

Following reporting from The Taipei Times, the new lease agreement will include six aircraft in total, with three units already confirmed at USD 67.51 million for each plane.

STARLUX is excited about adding the aircraft and believes it will be hugely important for facilitating flights to destinations across Asia.

Furthermore, the airline emphasizes the ability to expand its route network thanks to the addition of further A321neos and, as a result, bring the STARLUX inflight product to more markets.

Since its conception, STARLUX has heavily relied on the Airbus portfolio of aircraft, whether sourced directly or through leasing agreements such as this latest one.

Moreover, this reliance has also allowed the airline to operate with a fleet of all next-gen aircraft, thus having one of the youngest fleets industry-wide, allowing maximum efficiency in daily flying.

STARLUX has been focused firmly on expansion, and an agreement for six A321neos doesn’t represent the first contract of the year. The carrier is also committing to new Airbus jets.

As part of this agreement announced earlier this year, the A350F was purchased alongside a top-up deal for the already operational A330neo.

Nowadays, the STARLUX fleet consists of Airbus A321neos, with 13 units in service, widebodies of the A330-900, with five units, and five A350-900s.

While recent focus has rested on enhancing the overall long-haul product, the A321neo will be pivotal for the continued development of the regional network across Asia.
