Saudia announced a new brand identity to align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to bring the world to Saudi Arabia.

The flag carrier’s new branding and livery was unveiled during a significant event in Jeddah.

Unveiling of the new brand sees colours of green, blue and sand, which represent, according to Saudia, their attempts to expand their future fleet and destinations. Again, this aligns with the mission of connecting the world to Saudi Arabia by 2030.

We are experiencing a new era and a very exciting time for Saudia. Our airline has evolved from a Douglas DC-3 aircraft in 1945, to a 140-aircraft modern fleet serving over 100 destinations, becoming one of the largest airline in the region.

His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group

While being identified as new branding, the updated colours see a return to colours and a pattern utilised in the 1970s; thus, their new livery is a callback to an older rendition. This highlights that everything, especially old branding for a company, is once new again.

Saudia further notes that the logo and name are an integral part of the region’s aviation history and any future development. By building upon this, they believe it’ll only solidify their mark.

With Riyadh Air set to join the Saudi Arabian aviation sector in the coming years, the pair will work together to make the vision a reality.
