SAS Announces Bangkok Flight

SAS has announced from the 30th of October they’ll operate from Copenhagen to Bangkok.

The route will be operated with an Airbus A350 and fly three times per week. However, it is worth noting that the route will be seasonal and is subject to regulatory approval before it can get the firm-go ad.

Thailand and the Scandinavian countries have a long history of friendship and cooperation and returning with a direct route after nine years is a true pleasure. The Bangkok route will offer a perfect entry point for wider Thailand and be a great option for both business and leisure travelers. Bangkok is a vibrant meeting point for international businesses and the country has topped several rankings as the world’s most popular tourist destination with its beautiful beaches, lush jungles and extraordinary Thai cuisine. Regardless of reason to travel, we are excited to once again offer a direct connection between Scandinavia and the Land of Smiles.

Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS

SAS believes that adding Bangkok to its winter program for the 2023/24 season will be hugely beneficial thanks to the outdoor activities Thailand offers.

Bangkok will complement Tokyo, Haneda, and Shanghai as other destinations added to Asia for the season.

SK973 will depart Copenhagen at 23:30 and arrive in Bangkok at 1705 (+1). Meanwhile, SK974, the return flight, will leave Bangkok at 2345 and arrive in Copenhagen at 0635 (+1).
