Qatar Airways Discusses Future Plans

Qatar Airways says new routes, a new first class, new cabins, and more will be crucial for the airline to remain an industry leader.

Qatar Airways is readying to enter a new era of its operations, and as part of that, the airline is looking to innovate and generate fantastic growth across the board.

Following a shift in executives and the departure of long-standing CEO Akbar Al Baker, the airline—and, generally, the broader group—is ready to propel itself in a new direction.

These plans will strongly focus on digital technologies, products, fleet growth, employee engagement, and many other business pillars.

First Class & New Cabin Demand

Qatar Airways says it sees fantastic demand for First Class, so it’s decided the introduction of a new, unique First Class cabin will be essential.

The finalisation of colours is the final part of the process before a formal announcement can be made for the airline. Qatar believes it’s the only airline that has developed such a high-quality cabin. Officially, they’re 70 to 80 percent of the way.

Away from a new First Class, the arrival of the Farnborough Airshow in July of 2024 will allow the company to reveal its redesigned and very premium QSuite. This benchmark product by the airline will get upgrades that will cement itself as an industry leader and first choice.

Other Improvements

Routes are an essential part of Qatar Airways’ makeup. As for any airline, critical growth into new and existing markets allows it to expand its boundaries.

Over the following years, the airline says it’ll continue to announce new routes with crucial markets being of focus. Specifically, China and India are targeted as two future locations where new and exciting routes are slated to be announced and launched.

The debut of new routes and boosting frequencies aligns with the airline’s ambition of being a leader and remaining competitive in its region. Customer experience must be a primary focus that doesn’t stop inside the cabin.

Qatar says customer experience extends to the routes it flies, the experience inside airports and more. As a result, further digital innovation will be made to smoothen out the process for passengers.
