Qantas has revealed pictures of its first Airbus A220, which is currently in production and will soon be delivered to the Qantas Group’s regional unit, QantasLink.

The Airbus A220-300 is intended to replace their ageing fleet of 717, and at the 2023 Paris Airshow, the group committed to a further nine units.
As a result of the latest commitment, 29 A220-300s will one day fly in the QantasLink colours with regulatory approval and the first scheduled passenger flights are slated to begin in 2024.
Qantas is largely being commended for the order of the A220 to power its next-generation regional operations, with people raving about the comfort levels of other operators.
Qantas says the Airbus A220s will have ten business class seats and 127 seats in economy. The A220’s advancements over the 717 make it a perfect replacement and part of Qantas’s broader fleet modernisation efforts.
