Porter Airlines has announced that from the 26th of July, it’ll launch a new service from Ottawa to Vancouver.
An announcement is part of Porter’s continued expansion utilising their E195-E2 jets, which have allowed them to continue increasing their market share and meeting capacity requirements.
The service will be operated by the newly delivered Embraer jet and is scheduled to operate daily.
Porter only wants to continue improving connections through locations in Canada, and thanks to this service, Ottawa will have a better connection to destinations across North America with Porter. This stretches as far as New York, Halifax, Moncton and more.
Ottawa is positioned as a critical part of Porter’s growing North American network. We will continue building our presence in YOW and providing a superior level of service and travel options for economy travellers.
Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines.
Per Cirium data, Porter Airlines has 38 aircraft in service, with 9 of these being the E195-E2. This aircraft will play a fundamental part in their future operations, with 41 on order. Once delivered, these will fly right across North America.
