Etihad Airways has announced it will fly double daily between its home of Abu Dhabi and Paris as part of its European expansion.
Double daily flights will commence on 15 January 2025. The service will initially feature the Airbus A380 from November 1, 2024; then, from January 15, 2025, a Boeing 787-9 will be deployed across the second daily flight.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier says it’ll offer a three-class service from First to Business to Economy across the interior on its service to Paris.
Most notably, the Airbus A380 will feature the all-important and highly regarded Residence as Etihad commits to offering the best cabin product and using its highest-capacity aircraft to the popular travel destination.
Double daily flights will genuinely enhance the Etihad network and respond to the increasing levels of demand between Abu Dhabi and France that are being seen.
Furthermore, thanks to the Etihad Airways route portfolio, onward connectivity from Abu Dhabi is possible across short, medium, and even long-haul locations ranging from within the Middle East to Asia and onwards to Australia.
EY31/32 will be the daily flight operated by the Airbus A380 from November 1. Meanwhile, EY33/34 will operate the second daily flight on a 3-class Boeing 787 Dreamliner from January 15, 2025.
From 2025 onwards, Etihad Airways will split the two flights by around 12 hours, with a 0240 departure for the A380 flight and a 1420 departure for the Boeing 787 flight.
The carrier is also moving ahead with Journey 2030 plans, which aim to see the fleet, employee base, and route network double over the next decade. Up-gauging across key markets such as Paris will play a fundamental role.
