Etihad Airways has unveiled a special livery to feature on one of six Airbus A321neos joining the airline’s fleet shortly.
The special livery helps to celebrate the airline’s 20th anniversary and includes a focus on the company’s pathway towards its future.
The livery features the facets of Abu Dhabi colours on show, representing key elements of life in its home, from the beach to the buildings to the rolling dunes.
However, the adjustments come down the fuselage, where markings of the iconic landmarks across Abu Dhabi have been etched on in a carefully curated line drawing.
The decal, which is in Arabic and English, ultimately wraps around both sides of the fuselage. Etihad believes the livery reflects the company’s journey and represents the journey ahead, which will focus significantly on expansion.
The addition of the Airbus A321neo is an important next step for the Abu Dhabi-based carrier as it looks to grow its route network and boost frequency. The first of six A321neo jets, which features this livery, has been undergoing a period of activity during which crews have familiarised themselves with the new plane.

Etihad Airways only committed to the Airbus A321neo in late 2023; therefore, this acquisition has become one of the company’s quicker turnarounds in recent times. The airline is pleased with this as it has become one of the few good developments regarding its fleet.
Aircraft deliveries worldwide have been delayed considerably, and Etihad Airways has felt the effects. Therefore, delivery of this new A321neo will enable it to speed up its fleet renewal efforts, preparing for the arrival of 20 new planes in 2025.
The A321neo is expected to be deployed across the airlines’ short to medium-haul network with service towards locations across India and the Middle East.
