After much speculation, Emirates has formally announced its intent to launch daily flights from Dubai to Montreal.
A three-class Emirates 777-300ER will operate the service and begin on July 5th. Emirates says the route will complement existing capacity headed to Toronto, where an A380 works. Importantly the Montreal connection also makes this only the second gateway in Canada the DUbai-based airline serves.
EK243 will depart DXB at 0230 and arrive at YUL at 0800. The return flight, EK244, departs YUL at 1020, returning to DXB at 0630 the following day. This schedule is effective from July 5th to November 5th, when it will be slightly adjusted.

The connection between the UAE and Canada has never been closer, and the launch of service to Montreal comes as the pair lays out the foundation to deepen economic cooperation.
Air Canada has recently announced the launch of a Vancouver to Dubai service, strengthening these ties and relationships. At this time, AIr Canada noted how excited they were to connect British Colombia to Dubai and all the possible onward connections.
Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the largest in Quebec. Known also as the French capital of Canada, Emirates sees it as a logical point of call for service and is excited by the possibilities it gives.
