Cyprus Airways To Fly Airbus A220

At the 2023 Paris Airshow, Cyprus Airways announced it’d fly the Airbus A220 as part of its continued future fleet plans.

Air Lease Corporation will facilitate the deal and consist of two A220-300 units—the largest current member of the series.

The airline based in Larnaca isn’t the largest. However, it plans to continue growing its fleet in the coming years. The addition of the Airbus A220 to its future network will be hugely beneficial to their long-term plans.

The A220 will provide a new experience to our guests and marks our commitment towards sustainability. The A220 offers the newest technology on the market and gives great savings in fuel burn and direct operating cost.

Cyrpus Airways CEO, Paul Sies

The Airbus A220 continues to be a star performer within the industry as consistent commitments continue to come through from customers around the globe. Since acquiring the type from Bombardier in 2018, Airbus has managed to pitch it to more customers than ever, establishing a solid presence within the United States.
