British Airways Embraer E190 marks the return of flights to London Stansted for the first time in four years

British Airways has announced its network will expand with the return of London Stansted flights.

British Airways Celebrates Return

From 18 May 2024, British Airways will offer service to Florence, Ibiza and Nice, acting as routes on BA Cityflyers’s network.

British Airways says its Embraer E190 aircraft will operate the routes in a return to the north-east London airport that has been missing the flag carrier for some time.

BA Cityflyer is expected to complement the services offered from London City to nearly 30 destinations across the short-haul network.

Additionally, it marks an overall return for the first time since the emergence of the global pandemic. Stansted will be the fourth London airport that’ll be served by the group in a move that highlights the demand for travel from the capital.

Examining The Services From London Stansted

For the flights from London Stansted, two possible cabin classes are available, including Club Europe and Euro Traveller.

Examining the services from London Stansted highlights that BA7016/7017 will operate from 18 May 2024 only on Saturdays to Florence.

Meanwhile, BA2332/2333 will serve Nice also once weekly on Saturdays. A similar theme concludes with Ibiza operating as BA7308 and BA7309, departing only on Saturdays.

British Airways Unveils Further Developments

Aside from its short-haul network, the airline also published significant news involving its international operations, with the opening of a new lounge in Miami.

Slated to open in the first half of 2025, a new lounge with a brand-new design concept will arrive. A lounge at Miami International Airport will see this join an existing 20-plus dedicated lounges across airports worldwide.
